Subscription Management

A subscription is an agreement to make advance payments in exchange for access to a product or service. We bill in advance, and changes made to a subscription will occur at the end of the billing cycle.

Note

Not all users have access to change or cancel subscriptions. Only account Owners accounts have access to make billing changes. Admins are able to view, but not change, billing information.

Activate Subscription

Once a purchase is made, your new subscription will appear in the Subscriptions page of Console. Subscriptions activate in one of two ways:

  • You receive your device, and turn it on for the first time.
  • 30 days past the date of purchase, your grace period expires and service is auto-activated.

Upon activation, you will be billed monthly for service.

Update Subscription

To modify your subscription in any way, reach out to your account manager. You may change your subscription to change the retention period of the backups stored in the Slide Cloud.

Cancel Subscription

To cancel your subscription, navigate to the subscriptions page in Console and select the three-dot-menu on the right hand side of the row of the subscription you would like to cancel. Press cancel. You do not need to fill in a reason for cancellation, but your reasoning is used by our team to better understand how we can continue to improve Slide.

Cancel a Subscription

Once you confirm the cancellation, here's what you should expect:

  • Subscription End Date: When you cancel a subscription, it will continue until the end of the prepaid billing period, and then terminate. You will maintain full cloud access to the end of the current prepaid billing period. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation which will include the subscription termination date.
  • 30 Day Grace Period: Following the termination of a subscription, we will retain your data in the Slide cloud for 30 days. You can use this time to retrieve any pertinent data from the cloud that you'd like. Once the 30 day grace period is up, cloud access will be revoked and all cloud snapshots associated with your device will be permanently deleted.
  • The Box: You will continue to have access to the device's local features and behaviors. You can continue to take local backups indefinitely.

Undo a Cancellation

Cancelled subscriptions will still be visible in your subscriptions list. If you wish to undo your cancellation, simply click the three-dot-menu to reinstate the subscription. Once a subscription is fully cancelled, the only way to reinstate it is to reactivate it. To do so, reach out to your sales representative for assistance.
